When it comes to the refugee crisis and the many immigrants coming to the states it might be difficult to see where facebook advertising could connect. If we look at facebook, though, and see the wide audience they reach (percentage of users is relatively similar across the board when it comes to the age, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status of users) many non-profit and relief groups could find the source of many of their volunteers from facebook.

Non-profits and relief organizations could use facebook advertising to target specific audience in order to recruit volunteers to help out. For instance, targeting high school and college students would be a great idea because we know this demographic is often seeking volunteer hours for the furthering of their education. Perhaps target the retired would be a good idea, because many retirees are seeking out beneficial ways to spend their time.

If non-profits and relief groups used facebook advertising to recruit they could find many volunteers and hopefully further their effectiveness of their goals.
